Certified Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner and Somatic Life Coach
My love for healing began during my studies in medical anthropology. After receiving my M.A. I spent a decade traveling and researching in the Himalayas and living in Buddhist centers. Eventually I decided to turn my love for healing into my profession. I trained as a Somatic Coach and Stress Management Trainer in Germany, completed my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training in India and graduated from the Rosen Method Bodywork School in Berkeley after 8 years of intensive practice. I have lived on the Mendonoma Coast since 2007. As an insured ABMP member I offer 60 minute healing sessions in Rosen Method Bodywork and in Somatic Coaching. I look forward to accompanying you on your healing journey!
Rosen Method Bodywork involves gentle touch and attuned words, aiming at deep relaxation, increased somatic awareness and emotional release. Treatments can be helpful for anyone experiencing chronic tension, stress, anxiety or pain. Tight muscles are touched with compassion and presence, bringing attention to chronically held areas of the body. This can lead to feelings of deep relaxation by returning the nervous system to a safe and restorative state. Rosen bodywork sessions can also help to feel and release habitual tension and stuck emotions. Many of my clients report states of peace and more self-love after receiving a treatment.
Somatic Coaching includes breath work, movement exercises and trauma work. It can bring awareness to physical and emotional patterns and help let go of unhelpful habits and beliefs. Coaching sessions often bring more clarity, self-confidence and agency in life.
I am a Certified Somatic Life and Breath Coach, Relaxation Therapist (Germany) and Certified Trauma Informed Yoga teacher. I am currently training in ‘Compassionate Inquiry’ with Dr. Gabor Maté.
I see my clients as their own healers. I am merely the facilitator holding a safe container for you, so you can dare to relax, feel and meet yourself. My primary goal is your safety, healing and empowerment.
“The curious paradox is that when
I can accept myself as I am, then I can change”
~Carl Rogers~
